Hiking Beautiful Lynn Woods on the North Shore
Date: Saturday, July 22 - Saturday, July 22Come and enjoy a loop hike in beautiful Lynn Woods. We will begin our hike on the Blue trail with an ascent to Full Hill with its view of both Boston and Walden Pond, then we will hike on to Undercliff Path with its beautiful outcroppings, have lunch and snacks at Steel Tower with its stunning view of Boston, then hike onto Stone Tower and continue down Boulder Path, to Union Rock, Dungeon Rock and past Breeds Pond to complete our loop. We will be hiking at an easy pace over roots, rocks, and slab with numerous ups and downs to end our hike between 1:30 and 2:00PM, depending on the pace of the group. Dress in moisture wicking layers (no blue jeans or cotton), and wear appropriate hiking footwear (no sneakers or sandals), along with wool socks. In your daypack (no back sacs with strings) bring the required essentials: at least 2 liters of water, lunch and snacks (nothing that will spoil in the warm weather), first aid and anti blister supplies, rain/wind jacket, insect repellent and/or net ( no bug zappers), and hat. Hiking poles and gaiters highly recommended, if you have them. No dogs.
