I've been reading about Peak Oil, and it scares me enough that I really want to dedicate my time to making a tiny little difference in the future of how we deal with energy. Thus, I am currently SEEKING A JOB somewhere in the alternative/sustainable energy sector. Willing to tackle almost any technical pursuit and expand my skill set. My strengths are geared more toward the real-life practical than high theory, but I can hold intelligent conversation in either area. What I might do in the field could really be anything from nailing down PV mounting brackets on an icy roof to oven-testing IGBT modules in a warm lab, although I would most welcome an entry opportunity to work with embedded systems and power control. In general, something to help enable widespread energy independence. If you share my passion about this, are local in the Boston/north area, and need a competent, dedicated hands-on tech guy you're willing to train into your specific endeavors, please ask for resumes and/or discussion! My prior background emphasizes IT and network security, but informally covers a wider range of technologies. You can likely get some sense of where I'm at from this Prius project, but that's only a segment of the things that interest me.
