## Message sent back to said hospital personnel explaining why their initial ## rejection of my unique tag on their DocuSign thing was stupid and insulting. Subject: Re: TH-107732 Hospice Consent Documents Date: Thu, 08 Sep 2022 15:18:49 -0500 As noted, the enclosed is the UNIQUE graphic generated for today's document exchange. It incorporates a date, a unique blockchain-generated transaction authenticator that also exists in my personal records, and the same logo I use for everything else. Keep in mind that the cursive squiggles that Docusign generates for people are not "wet signatures" either and carry a completely different legal status, and if you need to review the facts around e-signatures I suggest reviewing what Docusign presents as existing precedent, https://www.docusign.com/products/electronic-signature/legality/united-states/ and if you explore my own website, http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit ... you will see that same graphic all over the place, mostly as subtle watermarks in all of the images I uploaded. What matters is the surrounding electronic records, that the signing was performed under my existing Docusign account, timestamped and with the IP addresses of the web interaction recorded along with. The process indicates *intent*, and what's in those little graphics is of NO consequence relative to the validity of the signature process. There is no reason to be obstructionist about this. I have shown you an even more secure option than you thought DocuSign was giving you in the first place. _H* --= [Attachment: filename="esig.jpg"]
